Kodak Black Signs With CAA

Kodak Black has signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) for worldwide representation. He was previously represented by WME. He continues to be managed by Generation Now. At CAA, he joins a roster that includes hip-hop artists such as 21 Savage, ASAP Rocky, and Playboi Carti.

Streaming Metrics: As of April 2025, Kodak Black has approximately 25.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify. His top listener markets include Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, and New York City.

Discography and Chart Performance: Kodak Black’s discography includes seven studio albums, eleven mixtapes, two extended plays, and thirty-six singles. His debut studio album, Painting Pictures (2017), debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200, with 71,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. The album featured the single “Tunnel Vision,” which peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100. His second studio album, Dying to Live (2018), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, earning 89,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. The album included the single “Zeze,” featuring Travis Scott and Offset, which peaked at number two on the Hot 100.

Sales and Certifications: Kodak Black’s albums Dying to Live, Painting Pictures, and Project Baby 2 have each been certified platinum by the RIAA. His 2022 album Back for Everything has sold over 500,000 copies in the United States.

Career Beginnings: Born Dieuson Octave (later legally changed to Bill Kahan Kapri), Kodak Black began rapping in elementary school and recorded music at a local trap house after classes. At age 12, he joined a rap group called Brutal Youngnz under the name J-Black and later joined The Kolyons. He gained national attention with his 2014 breakout single “No Flockin,” which led to a deal with Atlantic Records in 2015.

Festival Performances: Kodak Black has performed at Rolling Loud on multiple occasions, including appearances in Miami Gardens in July 2023 and December 2024. He appeared at the Made in America Festival in Philadelphia in September 2022. In June 2022, he hosted the first “Kodak Black Day” festival in Pompano Beach, Florida, featuring performances by artists including Lil Durk, Moneybagg Yo, and EST Gee. He also performed at the Broccoli City Festival in Washington, D.C., in July 2023, alongside Lil Uzi Vert and Ice Spice.
