Renowned singer-songwriter and activist Ani DiFranco has signed with Artists First for representation. This partnership is expected to further elevate her influential career in the music industry. She continues to be managed by Invasion Group.
Career Highlights: Ani DiFranco, widely regarded as a feminist icon, is celebrated for her pioneering role in the DIY movement. In 1990, at the age of 19, she founded her own record label, Righteous Babe Records, becoming one of the first artists to do so.
Throughout her illustrious career, DiFranco has released over 20 albums, blending genres such as folk, punk, funk, hip hop, jazz, soul, and electronica. Her collaborations span a diverse array of artists, including Utah Phillips, Maceo Parker, and The Twilight Singers.
DiFranco is known for her activism. In October 2023, she signed an open letter to President Joe Biden, calling for a ceasefire in the Israeli bombardment of Gaza.
Looking ahead, DiFranco is set to embark on the “Unprecedented S— Tour” across North America in 2025, supporting her latest album. The tour will run from February to June, featuring 26 concerts, including a performance at Brooklyn Steel on April 18.
