Taio Cruz has signed with Independent Artist Group (IAG) for global representation of his live-touring business, the agency announced today.
Born Adetayo Ayowale Onile-Ere in London to Nigerian and Brazilian parents, Cruz began writing music professionally at age 19 and earned early acclaim when he co-wrote Your Game (by Will Young) in 2004 — a track that went on to win a Brit Award.
Cruz’s debut album, Departure (2008), which he wrote, arranged and produced himself, achieved Gold certification in the UK and featured his Top 10 hit “Come On Girl.” His second album, Rokstarr (2009), marked a shift into EDM-pop and delivered the global smash “Break Your Heart” (featuring Ludacris), which topped both UK and U.S. charts, followed by “Dynamite,” a worldwide hit that peaked at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
Beyond his solo success, Cruz has written for major artists (including Jennifer Lopez, David Guetta and Olly Murs), and has launched entrepreneurial ventures in fashion and tech. With IAG now handling his global touring representation, this move signals a renewed focus on live performance and international visibility across his multifaceted career.
