Serayah McNeill has signed with Kensington Grey for representation as the Empire star continues to pursue new opportunities across film, TV, and branded content.
The California-born actress, model, and singer is best known for her breakout role as the fictional singer Tiana Brown in the hit Fox musical drama Empire, along with credits in Kingdom Business, Black Mafia Family, True Story, Robbin, and Best Friend.
The signing news comes off the back of her starring role in Netflix’s Ruth & Boaz — which became the most-watched film on the streamer worldwide shortly after release — a modern retelling of the biblical love story also starring Tyler Lepley and produced by Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin.
Since the movie’s September release, McNeill’s social media followers, Spotify listeners, and Google searches have spiked, signalling a fresh buzz around the star as she climbs to 4.4million followers across all platforms, including 2.3 million on Instagram alone.
“I’m excited to partner with Kensington Grey. As an industry force, I’ve been a fan of the work that they’ve done and the impact they’ve made. I truly believe they’ll help take both me and my brand to new heights in this next chapter of my career,” McNeill said in a statement shared by The Hollywood Reporter.
The talent agency’s founder and CEO, Shannae Ingleton-Smith, added in a statement: “We’re proud to welcome Serayah to Kensington Grey. She’s the definition of a true multi-hyphenate who embodies the multidimensional creativity we actively seek out and champion. We’re excited to build with her in this next chapter and help unlock what’s next across every lane she plans to step into.”
Besides acting, McNeill featured as a performer in Taylor Swift’s iconic “Bad Blood” music video clique back in 2015, and last year released her own EP titled Archives.
In 2017, McNeill was named the first Natural Hair Ambassador for TxturePRO, a line from Wet Brush focused on curly and textured hair. The following year, at just 22 years old, she was announced as the new face of Madonna’s Material Girl Spring 2018 campaign, following in the footsteps of Zendaya, Rita Ora, and Sofia Richie.
2025 also marked a big year personally for the star as she welcomed her first child with her fiancé, the Brooklyn rapper and actor Joey Bada$$, after debuting her baby bump on the Adore Me runway at New York Fashion Week earlier this year.
McNeill continues to be represented by Formation Talent across TV and film projects.
