Black Sherif has signed with United Talent Agency (UTA) for representation, marking a major step in expanding his global reach.
His most recent album, IRON BOY (April 2025, EMPIRE), has been a landmark release for Ghanaian music. It became the first Ghanaian project to spend two full weeks on Apple Music’s U.S. Top 50 and broke records as the most streamed Ghanaian album in a single day on Spotify. The project also peaked at No. 10 on Billboard’s World Albums chart and No. 5 on Nigeria’s TurnTable Albums chart, solidifying his crossover into international markets.

Currently, Black Sherif has over 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, with his biggest markets in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Accra, and Ibadan.
To support the IRON BOY rollout, he embarked on a six-day North American tour followed by an 11-date European run, including a standout performance at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire. On the festival circuit, Black Sherif has become a global fixture, performing at Wireless Festival (London & Abu Dhabi), AfroNation (Miami & Ghana), Something in the Water (USA), Hypefest (Germany), Couleur Café (Belgium), OpenAir Frauenfeld (Switzerland), Way Out West (Sweden), SummerJam Festival (Germany), and Blast Fest (Seattle).
His rise has been recognized with major awards recognition: in 2025, he earned a BET Award nomination for Best International Act, dual AFRIMA nominations (Best Male Artist in Western Africa and Reggae, Ragga & Dancehall for Rebel Music), and a Headies nomination for Best West African Artiste of the Year.
Black Sherif first broke onto the scene with his 2021 viral single “Second Sermon,” which drew global attention after Burna Boy jumped on the remix. In 2022, his debut album The Villain I Never Was further cemented his reputation, with the hit track “Kwaku The Traveller” topping charts across Africa and reaching No. 1 on Nigeria’s Apple Music.
