Fred Warner and Puka Nacua star in the new campaign for consumer credit reporting agency Experian.
The campaign: The pro football stars appear in the latest instalment of Experian’s “Big Financial Friend” campaign, which outlines how the company can help people save time and money through a suite of tools on the app. The advert features professional football stars and real-life best friends, San Francisco 49ers linebacker Warner and Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Nacua, reclined in armchairs on the football field as they chat about how Experian can be a “financial friend” and the ultimate teammate.
The context: The players were secured for the campaign by Athletes First, which also represents Warner for marketing, while JABEZ Marketing Group is the exclusive marketing rep for Nacua.
The campaign is set to feature in key placements during key sporting events, along with social media and other digital and connected TV platforms. In support of the campaign launch, Experian is the presenting sponsor of a new digital series titled “Real Ones: The League” hosted by Warner.
“As an athlete, I know the importance of having the right tools to succeed — and the same goes for your finances,” said Warner in a statement. “That’s why I’m proud to work with Experian again. Their app gives people the power to take control of their finances and keep more money in their pocket.”
Both stars have advertised widely with brands across industries in tandem with their sporting career. The Experian campaign marks Warner’s latest with a financial service, having previously worked with the tech platform in December 2024, in addition to endorsements for Visa and Nationwide. Other brand work in recent years includes collaborations with BODYARMOR, Abbott, Abercrombie & Fitch, Old Spice, and more.
Nacua has previously worked with Mountain America Credit Union, while other notable partnerships include his brand ambassador roles for Gatorade and Invisalign.
What’s next? Niners linebacker Warner sustained a dislocated and fractured ankle earlier this season, for which he underwent surgery in mid-October. Recent reports suggest he is progressing well in training and injury rehab, while fans remain hopeful he could make a return sooner than anticipated.
Nacua recently racked up a career-high 225 receiving yards in this month’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. He also made history by becoming only the second player in league history to have at least 150 receiving yards in three straight games.
