Goapele has signed with UTA for representation, adding another major agency to her career infrastructure. She continues to be managed by Back Lit Management. Her most recent album, Colours, was released in 2023 through her independent label, Skyblaze Recordings, reinforcing her long-standing reputation for creative control and self-determination.
She first broke through with her 2001 independent single Closer, which became an underground anthem and helped cement her as a leading voice in contemporary soul. Over the years, she’s released acclaimed projects including Change It All (2005), Break of Dawn (2011), Strong as Glass (2014), and DreamSeeker (2017).
Goapele remains an active live performer, with recent appearances at the Las Vegas City of Lights Jazz & R&B Festival (2025) and the Blue Note Jazz Festival: The Black Radio Experience (2025). She’s also graced iconic venues such as Yoshi’s in Oakland and The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre in Detroit, underscoring her consistent touring presence across both club and festival circuits.
Currently, she has over 600,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with her top markets spanning Johannesburg, Los Angeles, London, Chicago, and Atlanta.
