Grace Wales Bonner Signs with United Talent Agency (UTA)

Renowned British fashion designer Grace Wales Bonner has officially signed with United Talent Agency (UTA), marking a significant expansion in her professional representation. This partnership is poised to amplify her influence across various creative sectors, including fashion, art, and culture.

Career Highlights: Grace Wales Bonner emerged as a formidable talent in the fashion industry following her graduation from Central Saint Martins. In 2016, she was awarded the prestigious LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers, recognizing her innovative approach to menswear that seamlessly blends European and African influences. 

In 2023, Wales Bonner’s contributions were further acknowledged when she received the British Fashion Council’s GQ Designer Fashion Fund award, underscoring her status as a leading figure in contemporary fashion. 

Wales Bonner is curating an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) titled “Artist’s Choice: Grace Wales Bonner—Spirit Movers.” The exhibition features nearly 40 artworks from MoMA’s collection, exploring themes of sound, movement, performance, and style within the African diaspora and beyond. This exhibition is currently on view.

Continuing her successful partnership with Adidas, Wales Bonner released a new collection on October 24, 2024. The collection includes fresh takes on classic Adidas footwear, such as the Samba and Superstar models, featuring unique design elements like croc-embossed uppers and woven leather tongues.

Wales Bonner’s Autumn/Winter 2025 menswear collection, titled “Selah,” includes a collaboration with Chicago-based artist Theaster Gates. The collection reflects her continued exploration of cultural narratives and artistic expression

Her designs have been showcased in esteemed institutions such as the Victoria and Albert Museum, where she presented highlights from her collections that draw from black visual culture and integrate couture techniques with African craftsmanship. 

The partnership with UTA signifies a strategic move to broaden her creative horizons and influence within the global cultural landscape.
