Tracy Letts Joins UTA: A Pulitzer-Winning Playwright’s New Venture
Tracy Letts, the acclaimed playwright and actor behind the Pulitzer Prize-winning “August: Osage County,” has inked a deal with UTA for representation across all areas, the agency recently announced.
🎞️ A Storied Career in Theater and Film: Letts has been a prominent figure in theater for decades, known for both his writing and acting prowess. His works include the Tony- and Pulitzer-nominated “The Minutes,” in which he not only wrote but also starred. This dark comedy made its Broadway debut on April 17, 2022.
📜 Broadway Successes and Beyond: Letts’ involvement in Broadway extends beyond “The Minutes.” He penned and presented “Linda Vista” in 2019, and the same year, took to the stage opposite Annette Bening in a revival of Arthur Miller’s “All My Sons.” His portrayal of “George” in the 2012 revival of Edward Albee’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” earned him a Tony award. The Pulitzer Prize came calling in 2008 for “August: Osage County,” which also snagged five Tony awards, including Best Play.
