Agent James Gosnell has officially joined MAC Agency, marking a new chapter in his career after previously working at IAG, where he represented artists like BigXThaPlug. MAC Agency has confirmed that Gosnell will be starting fresh in his new role and will not be bringing any clients with him.

MAC Agency’s Rise in the Hip-Hop Industry: Founded by Andrew Lieber, MAC Agency has rapidly ascended as a formidable force in the hip-hop live booking industry. Lieber, who began his career managing tours for artists like King Los and Cory Gunz, established the agency with a focus on identifying and nurturing emerging talent. Over the years, MAC Agency has worked with some of hip-hop’s biggest names, including DaBaby, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Rod Wave, Polo G, Toosii, Yo Gotti, and Moneybagg Yo. Unlike traditional agencies that sign artists to exclusive deals, MAC Agency operates with a more flexible approach, maintaining close relationships with many artists and often serving as the preferred agency for booking their live performances.

Strategic Festival Placements: The agency’s influence is evident in major music festivals. At Rolling Loud California 2024, MAC Agency secured 8% of the artist bookings, showcasing their growing presence in the industry. Their ability to consistently land high-profile slots for artists across major festivals and events speaks to their strong relationships within the live music space.

Commitment to Artist Development: MAC Agency prides itself on its hands-on approach, working closely with artists from their initial tours to building them up to arena-level performances. This flexibility and artist-first mentality have made them a go-to agency for many in the hip-hop industry, reinforcing their role as a dominant force in live touring.

As MAC Agency continues its upward trajectory, the addition of James Gosnell is expected to further expand their network and strengthen their impact in the hip-hop live booking space.
